Rome – The Eternal City – is a unique combination of history and art and the fast pace of the 21st century. It is a city of its time as being the center of the largest empire that Rome has ever seen and conserves landmark structures like the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and even the Pantheon. Thus wander through the narrow streets to see a few of these beautiful squares, fountains, which are known (the Trevi Fountain for example), and churches with no renaissances inside. Enclosed in Rome is Vatican City home of St. Peters Basilica and The Sistine Chapel with the ceiling artwork of Michelangelo. Rome is far more than the historical sites (it has some of the best markets in the world, fantastic food any way you can guess, and the real, down-to-earth, Roman trattorias that give you pasta carbonara and gelato). Madrid which is the capital city of Spain is one of the world’s popular places of history, arts, and fun culture I have visited. It is recommended to visit the park in spring (March through May) or in the autumn (September through November); the weather is perfect and there are few visitors on the paths. Puerta del Sol is the first point of tourist attraction in Madrid then other visits would be to Plaza Mayor a beautiful old Plaza with some good little cafeterias. Culture vultures will simply never want to leave this city again without visiting the golden triangle of art that is the Prado, Reina Sofia, which houses Mondrian’s work as well as Thyssen-Bornemisza museums. Go have a walk in the Retiro convenient for a summer walk or visit the magnificent Royal Palace. In the spring San Isidro Festival happenings parades and traditional music.
